What is the language of Heaven?

13 Dec
Learning Heaven’s communication form

Did you know that sound holds all things together?  Sound is how Heavenly ‘cargo’ is created, it’s how that ‘cargo’ is transferred to us and how that ‘cargo’ is given authority to exert influence over us.  Here are a few Biblical validations for sound.

Heb 1:3 – “And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.”

Gen 1:3 – “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”

Heb 11:3 – “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”

II Sam 5:24 – “And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly.  For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”

So, sound is the origin and foundational operating system of everything that exists.  That’s a HUGE subject, but I want to narrow our focus onto a couple of questions…

1. How does God communicate with all of His Heavenly ‘families’?

Yes, our Bibles use words to convey the sentiment of God… and the Bible indicates that God uses words to speak to us – spiritually and even audibly.  But that is the only way that God can get His point across to us, at least for now.  We’re not skilled at understanding Heavenly communication – YET!

This dynamic of God talking to us may be similar to how a baby’s communications are limited to elementary vocalizations (coos, jabbers, cries, etc) which Daddy and Mommy have become adept at understanding.  Since baby is ‘unlearned’, when Daddy and Mommy ‘communicate’ to baby, they use baby sounds and gestures and ‘words’ that baby can understand.  There will be a day when baby will easily employ all the language that the big people use.

The spiritual parallel is that our Father (who is a spirit) dumbs down His communication into forms that we can understand (languages of this world).  But He invites us into His world… His Heavenly world and His world of communication.

“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” – I Cor 2:13-14 NJKV

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” – Rms 8:14

As long as we are ruled by our natural mind, we will be unable to discern the things of the Spirit, which prevents us from becoming huios sons (Greek for completed mature sons).  Holy Spirit helps us grow into becoming spiritually oriented… or in my words, learn to live in and from our spirit.  So what is God’s core form of language?

2. Do we hear these sounds with our spirit hearing or with our natural hearing?

I’m quite confident that in the Heavenlies, God does not use audible decibels and syllables and words constructed from an alphabet of letters.  I know we use the word ‘sound’ to describe an emanating force going forth from a source, but is the word ‘sound’ just an earthly construct to help humans understand something that has no earthly parallel?  Let’s pursue this thought further.  For a big picture reference, our potential repertoire of language capabilities is likely much greater than we’ve ever explored or imagined.  For instance, Apostle Paul implies that we might be able to speak with the “tongues of angels” (I Cor 13:1).  So what is that like?  How is that different from the language of men?

Personally, I think that Heavenly communication is something much more visceral and spiritual than any of the modes of communication that we use in this world.  For those who are unlearned in living in their own spirit, you might liken this spiritual language form similar to having a ‘gut feeling’.  Consider: a ‘gut feeling’ doesn’t have specific words or concepts.  It only has a feeling, a hunch, a knowing or a sensing.  It’s more like a package of words all jumbled up into something as nebulous as a generalized sentiment.

In this world, we’ve trained our minds to be our leader, so we usually demand that our spiritual sensing or gut feeling gets distilled down into definable words… especially if we’re asked to communicate it to someone else.  Notice how Jesus utilized this two-fold dynamic…

“But Jesus, 1) knowing their thoughts, 2) said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?” – Matt 9:4

We see in this verse, Jesus employed two forms of communication… knowing and speaking.  He was ‘multi-lingual’.  He was quite skilled in the language form of inner knowing, but He also knew that the only way the people would be able to understand His response, was if He used their audible language.  Did you catch that?  If the people had been as skilled as He was at inner knowing, the transfer of sentiment both ways could have likely happened instantaneously.  How dynamic would that scenario be!

In our world of scientific advancement, the only thing that comes close to this instantaneous exchange is quantum entanglement.  This is where two things can be completely separated from one another but function as one.  There is no latency or time delay in communication between them… the exchange is faster than the speed of light.  The second object is simultaneously in sync with the first object.  Scientists are baffled at how this happens.  They know this is a ‘real thing’, but they still have no idea at how to create or initiate this communication form.

Words are laboriously slow
Think of all the time that is necessary to express even these thoughts in this blog post.  Consider all the steps to transfer the information from sender to receiver: Concept, Create, Formulate, Compose, Check & Recheck, Post, Read, Process, Evaluate, Assimilate.  Wow, how laborious!   What if information could be simultaneously exchanged in duplex microbursts.  And then what if we take it up another level so the exchange wasn’t just data transfer, but the heart and essence of the sender AND the receiver were mutually enjoyed?  O boy!  This is exciting.  I believe this more closely describes Heavenly communication.

This whole subject of Heavenly communication is of HIGH interest to me.  Scripture clearly states that we are destined to rule – with God – from His Throne – over Heaven and earth.  If so, then wouldn’t it be highly advantageous to become very skilled at this Heavenly communication form!  😊

As a community of ascending believers, we’re all expecting a tipping point of revelation that takes us into new Heavenly places with powerful modes of exchange, the likes of which this world has never seen before.  Thank God that we already have some measurable and substantial testimonials to prove this forward momentum!

We’re in a high stakes discovery mode right now.  Don’t forget: God has hidden these things FOR us to find them.  Happy discoveries!

Graduating out of the crib

11 Dec
From nepios to huios

Graduation from old heavens and earth (crib) to the new heavens and earth (Heavenly places)
Nepios is the Greek word for ‘babies’.  In order to keep babies safe, many times we place them in a crib.  This protects them from the danger of falling down the stairs or touching a hot stove, etc.  I wonder if while we are baby Christians, Father keeps us in a crib of the ‘old heavens and earth’.  There are less consequences there and less opportunity to mess things up.  It’s low power and low impact.

But in Scripture it’s easy to see that Father is waiting for us to grow up into huios sons (Greek word for mature sons) so we can graduate out of our ‘crib’ and begin to learn to live in a new heaven and new earth (the Heavenly places).  This is what God dreamed of before the foundations of the world (Eph 1:4).  He’s excited about the saints transitioning from being nepios needy consumers of Heaven to being huios co-partner governors – with God – from Heaven – down into earth places.

Can you feel our minds getting renewed?  Can you feel old stronghold beliefs beginning to crack and fray?  A huge shift is happening on the personal level and in some of the corporate body of Christ!   We’re being transformed by the renewing of our minds.  We’re disentangling from this world and reorienting to a higher plane.

These new Heavenly places are governed by laws and principles that are different from earth’s laws.  Our transition from earth laws to Heavenly laws is in full swing.  As Jesus modeled for us in John 3:13, we’re realizing that we are fully human and fully spirit at the same time.  We’re learning to walk on the earth with its earthly laws, but without being mastered by them.  The Heavenly laws are now replacing and superseding the lower laws.  And this is only right and normal for all huios sons of God.  The staggering truth is that our inheritance includes becoming co-governors with God over all the greatness and the sovereignty of all the kingdoms that are under the whole heavens (Dan 7:27).  And that is the TRUTH!

The writer of Hebrews gives us a few clues as to what qualifies us to graduate from nepios to huios sons.  It says that becoming skilled in the “word of righteousness” is a predicating factor for maturing into “perfection” (see Heb 5:11-14 and Heb 6:1-3).  There’s another qualifying factor in this Hebrews passage.  See if you can catch the two qualifying factors in this passage.

“For everyone who partakes only of milk is 1) unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.  But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use 2) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” – Heb 5:13-14

So what is the 1) word of righteousness?  What does this mean?  And what does 2) exercise mean and how does it apply to us?  With these two factors in mind, here are two questions:

  1. Which do you think about most… your unrighteousness or your righteousness?
Your answer is evidence as to whether you’ve embraced the righteousness Jesus gave you.
  2. Since exercise is essential for growth, how often do you exercise your spiritual senses?
Where do you push yourself beyond your normal comfortable spiritual boundaries?

I admit, this may be a significant challenge… but since we’ve been made aware of these things, we’re beginning to make progress.  We’re growing!  Thank you Father!… we’re transforming from ‘nepios’ needy earth-based consumers of Heaven   TO   ‘huios’ Heaven-based confident life-giving sons who are learning to co-rule – with God – from Heaven – down into the earth places.

Wow!  Can anyone say hallelujah!!??!?!!! Yes, Lord!

Time ‘warp’ and angel assistance – testimony

3 Dec

Time warp with angels assistance

John Paul Jackson and Bob Jones were transported instantly in a truck from the hotel to the airport, a distance of 20 miles – as told by John Paul Jackson

Once we almost missed a flight.  We had to fly from Birmingham, Alabama, to Atlanta, Georgia, on an early morning flight in order to drive an hour and a half to Macon, a small city in Georgia.  We were scheduled to speak at a conference there.  Bob, his wife, and I had ministered until very late the night before in Birmingham.  By the time we had finished ministering, it was already 2 am.

When we came back to our hotel, we were told it would take 20 minutes to get to the airport.  Our flight was at 6 am, so we decided to fall asleep fully dressed for tomorrow so that we would be ready on time.  Because we were so tired, we fell asleep as soon as we lay down on our beds.

At dawn, someone knocked excitedly at my door, and I asked, “Who is it?” Bob answered, and I asked, “What time is it?”  He yelled, “John Paul, it’s 5:55 am!”  Later he told me that while he was lying on his bed, he fell asleep.  An angel shook him and said, “If you don’t get up, we’ll miss the flight.”  When Bob looked at a clock, it was almost 6 am.  He thought, “Oh, we missed the flight!”

Then a thought occurred to him: “If we were going to miss the flight anyway, why would an angel wake me up?”  With that thought, he sprang out of bed and knocked loudly on my door.  I said, “Bob, there is no way we’re going to make it.  It takes 20 minutes to get to the airport.”  My friend Bob replied, “We’ve got to try!  Maybe God will delay the plane.”

So we ran out of the hotel and threw our bags in the back of Bob’s red pickup truck.  As Bob drove us to the airport, two men came up to us.  They took our bags out of the truck in a hurry and said, “We’ll park the car.  Run to the gate!” So we ran inside the airport toward the gate.  At that time in 1987, we were able to go straight to the departure gate without stopping at a security booth.

We boarded the plane that was stationed there.  Right before we boarded, I looked at a wall clock that indicated it was exactly 5:59 am!  “What’s going on?  Did my clock go wrong?  Or did Bob’s clock go wrong?”  After we boarded, found our seats, and buckled up, I looked at my watch.  It was 6 am.  My watch was not dead.  Right before we boarded, it was 5:59 am, and after I sat in my seat, it was 6 am, so my watch was correct.

Then I said to Bob, “Bob, do you realize it took us less than two minutes to get from our hotel to the airport, a distance of 20 miles?”  Bob said, puzzled, “Yes, I was thinking the same thing.”  Then he asked me, “When did you call those guys to take care of our bags and my truck?”  Astounded, I said, “I didn’t call those guys. I thought you did because you were a little late coming out of the hotel.”  Bob said, “I’ve never seen them before.”  I looked at him and said, “I’ve never met them in my life either.”

When we reached Macon, our bags were the first to come off the luggage belt.  At the conference, the Holy Spirit worked mightily among the people.  Three days later, while we were flying back to Birmingham, I asked Bob, “Bob, it must have been an angel that told us they’d park your red pickup truck.  What if it’s missing?  Or if it’s parked somewhere, where can we find it?”

Bob replied sleepily, “John, I’m very tired. I cannot think straight.”  And he began to prophesy boldly, “My pickup truck is parked in the first parking space in the airport.  And the keys are tucked above the visor on the driver’s side.”  Then he fell asleep.

When we got off the airplane and headed toward the parking lot, Bob’s red pickup truck was parked in the very first parking space, just as Bob said.  Likewise, his keys were tucked above the visor on the driver’s side.  So, while we were in Bob’s red pickup truck, God had miraculously transported us instantly to the airport—Bob, his wife, myself, and the pickup truck!

When the Son Reveals the Father

1 Dec
When the Son reveals the Father

“All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.  – Lk 10:21-22

In the Church age, Father highlighted Jesus.  Father was ‘far away’, but Jesus was God with skin-on.   So, for 2000 years Jesus has been getting us ready to engage with Father.  There is a time when Jesus says, “Now is the time to reveal the Father.”

“All things have been committed to me by my Father.  No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” – Matt 11:27

“All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knows who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.” – Luke 10:22

“I have spoken to you using figurative language, but the time is coming when I will no longer teach you with veiled speech, but I will teach you about the Father with your eyes unveiled.  And I will not need to ask the Father on your behalf, for you’ll ask him directly because of your new relationship with me.  For the Father tenderly loves you, because you love me and believe that I’ve come from God.” – John 16:25-27 TPT

“Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.” – Jn 4:21

So, if Jesus watches over our hearts and determines the time to REVEAL THE FATHER, then when is that time of revealing for each person?  What determines the readiness of each individual?  And is there a specified time for the collective body of Christ?

The age of the Father

I feel that we’re living in that epic timing where Jesus is revealing the Father in wholesale manner.  And I believe that ‘ascension’ is one of the powerful tools that Jesus and Holy Spirit are giving to us so that we can access our Father.  Is it possible that this new emerging age might be called, the ‘Age of the Father’… or the ‘Age of God’?

It seems that this revealing indicates that there is a maturing process taking place.  We’re transitioning out of teknon sons (Greek for teenage sons) into becoming hious sons (pronounced ‘whee-os’ – Greek for mature sons).  This dynamic shift was attested to in Jesus’ life when Father God endorsed Jesus at the Baptism of John… and on Mt of Transfiguration.  Father now called Jesus a hious son.  Jesus’ maturity was displayed by only saying what His Father said.

A contributing factor to this line of thinking comes from Heb 6:1-3 where we’re admonished to “move beyond the elementary doctrines of Christ”.  Christ’s teachings are still VERY valid… but maturing saints must move into maturity-appropriate revelation, if we are going to stay alive spiritually and become more effective as maturing sons.  Every maturity level needs a uniquely appropriate ‘nutrition’.  Consider a forty-year-old man who still eats Gerber’s baby food from the little jar.  This man would probably be anemic and stunted in his physical appearance not to mention that we could deduce that something is mentally or physically dysfunctional with this man.  This sentiment is likely the very reason for much of the apathy in our Christian culture today.  The writer of Hebrews experienced this and expressed how he yearns to not have to re-address the baby stuff again… he indicates his strong desire to move on, as God permits.

“Therefore, let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And this we will do, if God permits.…”

And look at Paul as he wrote to Philemon

My passion is to be consumed with him and not cling to my own “righteousness” based in keeping the written Law.  My only “righteousness” will be his, based on the faithfulness of Jesus Christ—the very righteousness that comes from God.  And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus and to experience the overflowing power of his resurrection working in me. I will be one with him in his sufferings and become like him in his death.  Only then will I be able to experience complete oneness with him in his resurrection from the realm of death.

I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me his own.  I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however, I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.  I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.  So let all who are fully mature have this same passion, and if anyone is not yet gripped by these desires, God will reveal it to them.  And let us all advance together to reach this victory-prize, following one path with one passion.

So how do we qualify for the Son to reveal the Father?

“In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.  No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.” – Jn 16:26-27

This passage indicates that Jesus wants to ‘hand us off’ to the Father.  He wants us to go directly to the Father.  And what is the criteria for Him to make that decision?  When He sees that we fully love Him and truly believe that He fully represents the Father.

Remember:

“Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.  How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” – John 14:9

Evidently, Philip didn’t believe that Jesus fully represented the Father!  There is a note of frustration in Jesus words, here.  So, it becomes apparent that Jesus is waiting to see if we fully ‘buy-in’ to Him being the exact representation of the Father.   If we do, then He knows we won’t have any trouble approaching our Father and coming into union with our Father!!

I think it’s time.  We’re growing up.  The Son is revealing the Father.  All the more reason why we must relocate to the Heavenlies by ‘setting our minds on things above.’  This will change our M.O. and our vocabulary.  Are you experiencing the shift of untethering from this world… are you getting a new mind about these things?  It’s time!
