Politics 2020: My views – last day

Nov 3 – election day 2020 is almost upon us.   This is quite likely the most crucial election in our nation’s history, thus far.  The opposite outcomes are so widely divergent that it’s not even a matter of argument or discussion at this point.  It’s almost like there is very little common ground.  In that case, I think it’s not prudent to engage in political matters with those who are strongly decided.  Proverbs says,

For the churning of milk produces butter, and twisting a nose draws blood, and stirring up anger produces strife. – Prov 30:33

So, I feel it’s important to rally voters who may not normally vote… and to put some insights out there that may help those who are undecided.

Trump is untamed but fulfills his promises

Honestly, most if not all of us have been at times quite strongly offended at our President’s demeanor and words.  He can be a braggart, a bully, a name caller, and crass – to put it nicely.   But the substantial fruit of a man is likely more telltale than any of a man’s quirks or mannerisms.  Jesus said it this way.

What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’  “‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.  “Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go.  “Which of the two did what his father wanted?”

“The first,” they answered.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.  For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. – Matt 21:28-32

Anyway, the point is that this President has done more for the Conservative sector than most presidents in modern time.  Sadly those attainments don’t get traction from the Main Stream Media because it is counter to their liberal agenda and objectives.

Pro-Life and SCOTUS 

One of the biggest ways that President Trump serves the Conservative/Religious right is in his laws and Supreme Court picks who are not Liberal activists, but rather respect the dignity of all life – born and unborn.  Each of his picks has a reputation of holding to the original intentions of our Constitution versus Liberal interpretation.  

The other side’s platform is more than troublesome… it blatantly smacks in the face of Biblical and moral values making it extremely difficult to understand how any Christian could vote for them.  One of the biggest issues is abortion.  Here’s what God says about it; “I hate… the hands that shed innocent blood.” – Prov 6:16-17.  How clear can it be… for the unborn and against voters who support it!?!?!  But I won’t even begin to itemize the problem areas here because of the shear number of areas.  Interestingly, there is a surprising groundswell of positive sentiment among voters.  Things like 96-mile-long ‘Trump trains’ and parades, boat flotillas with thousands of boats, and hundreds of tractors and combines parades… these are a phenomenon never seen before.  This speaks volumes of the loyalty and support his followers feel for him.

Something most people don’t know, President Trump has surrounded himself with seasoned and vibrant Christians.  Even before his presidency, he sought prayer.  Does he look like a saint?  No!  But I believe that he’s a man who is in the clutches of the Destiny of God.  He has been ‘apprehended’ by God (you may disagree, but his last election was something of a miracle by most people’s standards).  In the midst of this, God surrounded him with people like Paula White and Mike Pence who are vibrant Believers.  Trump doesn’t just tolerate Christian interest, he solicits Christian involvement at all levels.  Here are a couple pics of Trump being prayed for.

Riots versus normal life

A bothersome reality is that if the Biden wins tomorrow, America will likely settle down and gravitate toward normal on all counts; including covid and civility.  But if Trump wins tomorrow, there will likely be riots in the streets of many of the large cities of America.  I’m not bloviating; the mostly Democrat city of Washington DC has boarded up their stores in anticipation of riots.  What a troubling commentary on the stark difference in the character, agenda and values of each side.  The ‘gulf’ between them seems so wide that I’m not sure how the disparity can be reconciled without a miraculous God-type intervention.

But after tomorrow, if Biden wins, I will continue life as before with people of all persuasions… showing grace, courtesy and genuine friendship.   Fortunately, most Americans are the caliber of people who will still live in peace with their fellow countrymen if their candidate does not win.

Let’s set a record of epic proportions!  The US has over 230 million eligible voters.  Some say we may have 150 million voters in this election, a record.  If you’ve never voted before, this is the time to start!  Let’s break all expectations!

Be encouraged, God has a great plan for you and me and America!!!  We will be happy!

Politics 2020: My views – day 4

Heroes!  Franklin and his family

Our great country is the envy of the world. America’s early history is full of visionary immigrants with courageous stories that reflect their overwhelming and compelling desire to come to a new land full of promise.  My daughter-in-love’s (Cheryl) father is a shining example of that monumental decision to uproot from his homeland in humble provincial Philippines.  Franklin worked in Hawaii for nearly 10 years to make enough money to bring the rest of his family.  What a sacrifice!  He was gripped with a dream that with enough sacrifice, he could change the trajectory of his family forever.  And it did!  Today their whole family lives better than anything he could have ever imagined.

Many exemplary and radical men and women made such a move to America?  Their brave spirit and deep character has been instrumental in fashioning the heart and the backbone of what we call home; the United States of America.

Today many peoples of the world dream of moving here, living here… or at least visiting here. English is the common language taught and spoken in many foreign countries.  America’s almost fantasy-like culture is imitated around the world.  The United States of America is one of the best trophies this world has to offer.

Our country’s forefathers were brilliant.  They didn’t create a democracy.  Rather, they created a republic with powerful checks and balances that would value each and every person’s rights and privileges without letting anyone subjugate the rights of others.

That system works well with God-fearing people of character.  And by far, the vast majority of Americans still have a place in their hearts for God and are still decent people of character.  But we have a very small minority who are increasing in volume and violence who want to force their lawlessness and godless values on the rest.  John Adams warned us well:

There can never be enough laws to govern every detail of a man’s devious mind if there is not an embedded law of decency and respect already in that heart.  It’s like the chasing of the wind… when every lawless whim of lust and desire is unleashed, it devises new schemes and pushes beyond well-structured boundaries.  When met with the consequences, it feigns insult.  Then, of course, denial of everything… no ownership, no responsibility.  There is no internal compunction of conscience to hold them in check.  Their moral scruples have been overridden too long and now their conscience is seared.

Our country is being buffeted by some of these strong contrary winds… winds with an expressed intention to destroy the traditional American culture; our families, our borders, our gender definitions, our legal systems.  This is real.  For the preservation of our amazing republic… for the sake of our own peace and safety… for the well being of our future generations, we must wake up, America.  And our adversaries are not from the outside… they are from within our very own walls.

Our forefathers realized the preciousness and uniqueness of their framework of these United States.  They all had some measure of the fear of God upon them as they fashioned a Constitution that has no equal.  Some considered it so sacred that they gladly gave their lives.

“I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.” – Nathan Hale

And some realized that they were experiencing a miracle in mankind’s history.  They realized that this rare framework of a government had the capacity to not only establish peace and stability within its walls but promote peace in the world.

“Hold on, my friends, to the Constitution and to the Republic for which it stands.  Miracles do not cluster, and what has happened once in 6,000 years, may not happen again. Hold on to the Constitution, because if the American Constitution should fail, there will be anarchy throughout the world.” – Daniel Webster

The dream in the hearts of our forefathers has worked very well for nearly 250 years, as a tribute to them, a blessing to us and a testament to the world.  But that “experiment” is hanging in the balances.  Those balances could tip adversely.  If a few more ill winds blow over us, you and I could lose an invaluable gift that our fathers and God gave to us.

“The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.” – George Washington

In other words, in the end, our liberty and our Republic is in our hands. We can preserve it… or lose it.

Sadly, the democratic infrastructure of our republic has an inherent weakness.  When a substantial percentage of the population lose their ability to self-govern in areas of morals, responsibility, decency and respect, they start feeling entitled.  They soon realize they can vote themselves more and more ‘easy street’.  This new ‘ticket to free things’ ends up bankrupting our financial systems, our morale, our courage and our inheritance.

“Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.  There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.” – John Adams

Just like God giving us free will… He gave us the freedom to choose our own eternal destiny… a most wonderful gift that gives us access to the riches of His love and Heaven.  But it also gives us the liberty to not choose Him.  He made Himself vulnerable by giving us this freedom.  But this setup actually shows how much value and worth we are in God’s heart.  He gives us dignity and power to choose.  Our forefathers handed us a similar situation – freedom to choose our own destiny knowing we could win big… or lose it all.  Here’s a commentary on that dynamic.

Sobering!  Where do you think our country is in this cycle?  It’s not too late.  We can break the cycle!  Let’s do it!  America’s good people are going to rally and stop the tide.  God will help us!

The last few elections have been increasingly crucial, and the stakes have never been higher.  But here is good news: God loves America and He still performs miracles!!  And you know how much we all love great God-stories!  Go, God!

Politics 2020: My views – day 3

I have great confidence that God has great plans for America.  He is not finished with America… not by a long shot.  He’s the God of welcomed surprises.  I do not fear, nor am I worried.  Ultimately, my hope is never in the cunning or strength of man.  God has a ‘ways and means committee’ and He means to have His way!  😊  I just want to be on His side of the matter.

Yesterday we talked about the need to evaluate the foundational widely diverging worldviews between the political platforms of the two presidential candidates.  We addressed parties and party platforms.  It wasn’t my aim to denigrate individuals, because we remember that God dearly loves each candidate beyond our wildest imaginations. 

Today, I’d like to focus on the matter of life… all life.  I think most Americans are uncomfortable with any termination of life whether it’s pre-born or aged… or for that matter, even a pet.  Thank God for a conscience that is disturbed by such things.  

First, I’d like to highlight the beginning of life… and the value of life.  How does God view it?  What does the Bible say?  In the Gospel of Luke, we have the account of Jesus’ advent into the world.  Let’s look at Mary’s meeting with Elizabeth in chapter 1. 

At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth.  When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.  In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!  But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?  As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. – Luke 1:39-44

Twice the Bible calls Elizabeth’s preborn, not a fetus and not tissue… but, “the baby”.  And think of this; the very first person to acknowledge and respond to the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ into the world was an unborn child.  How special!!  From this, I wonder what value God puts on the unborn? In addition, this Biblical account tells us that preborn babies have the ability to be cognizantly aware of their natural surroundings.  And beyond the natural awareness, it seems that they have the ability to be aware of their spiritual surroundings… and respond to them.  

In ancient Bible times, there was a practice among some idol worshippers to sacrifice their children to the gods of Molech and Baal.  The belief was that there must be a trade in order to get something in return.  In modern practice of commerce or exchange, there is always a tradeoff.  For money, we trade time and services rendered.  For favor, we trade a favor.  For convenience, we trade a precious life resulting from a brief elicit pleasure.  Hmmm.

BTW – It never went well for the nations or people who practiced child sacrifice.

But abortion is not just an embarrassing unseemly practice in the underbelly of our society.  Americans cringed when some of its leaders brazenly and shamelessly celebrated when new abortion laws were extended to full term.  Here are the revealing headlines of several popular papers when New York and Virginia passed full-term abortion laws in January 2019.  Headlines:

Without question, the majority of Americans are repulsed at these headlines because most Americans have a heart that cares and a conscience that can be moved.  Question: If it’s legal, does that make it right?  If ‘legal’ makes is right, then how do we feel about slavery?  It used to be legal at one time.  Was it right?  Of course not!!  So what are we going to do about this? 

Now, if one of my readers feels the guilt of having had an abortion, this writing is not in any way intended to devalue you or single you out.  We all keenly remember, “For ALL have sinned….”   The wonderful thing about God is that He has more than enough mercy for all of us.  If you need help in coming to terms with this regret, find someone soon to help you experience full forgiveness and begin a fresh new start in life.

This writing is to highlight what we all know in our heart of hearts… abortion is wrong!  I pray that none of us forget the sacredness of a life and that it is within our power to preserve that sacredness when we go to vote.

Politics 2020: My views – day 2

Note: I respect other people’s opinions expressed on their own page.  Please, don’t use my public page to express your views.  As a matter of common courtesy, a private FB Message works well.  I will not publicly debate anyone.  I delete, block or unfriend contrary or oppositional comments.

So if the personalities… or even the intellectual savvy of the two candidates are not the primary issues at stake, then what is?  As I see it, the issues aren’t even the difference in policies of fiscal, infrastructure or governmental administrative matters.  The issues at hand are starkly contrasting and diametrically opposing ‘worldviews’ on many fronts.  In my opinion here are a few:

1. God OR no God
2. Basic immutable moralities OR tolerance of ‘anything’
3. Respect for human dignity OR dispensable ‘tissue’
4. National identity VS global community mentality
5. Capitalism/individual entrepreneurship VS nanny state socialism/communism
6. Constitutional originalism VS in flux reinterpretation
7. Empower people VS government intrusion
and there are many other contrasting differences…..

Each contrast highlights deeply fundamental and widely diverging life-altering views!!!  Ask yourself, “Which ones do I want for my grandchildren?”

Can you find your party’s platform in these opposing world views?  Although both parties fail miserably in many of its practices, it should be fairly easy to identify.  Now hypothetically extrapolate out from where we are currently, if we continue in a trajectory in these opposing directions, where will we be in 10 years… in 50 years?  Is that the country and society that you dreamed of creating for your family’s future generations?

So let’s address just one of the fundamentals; God OR no God.  What were the stated intentions of the Founders of our Nation?  Was it not, for freedom of worship, among other things?  Disregarding a few isolated quotes to the contrary, most of our early American forefathers were religious and God-fearing men and they made laws that reflected the decency and order of a God-fearing nation.

In this last decade, one party brazenly removed the mention of God from their party platform.  One of New York Post’s headlines bluntly states, “Democrats still haven’t faced their God problem.”  When you excise God out of your party and platform under the guise of “separation of church and state”, then you have nothing to lean on, except yourself… nothing to measure against, except yourself… nothing to call upon in trouble, except yourself… and no wholesome standards with which to create laws or build a society, except yourself.  Has anyone ever found that over time their desires have a tendency to affect their values or standards?  Of course, we have!  So, without an external influence to curb those unbridled internal desires, where will one’s values and standards end up?  For our own national survival, we must have the God-factor to establish immutable boundaries.

So, what will it take to stop the downward suction into lawlessness?

Soberingly, we are facing a mortal battle over the identity and soul of our nation.  Yes, the downward trend has been going on for decades.  We’ve been like the proverbial frog in the pot of boiling water… it heated so slowly that the frog didn’t recognize its soon demise.  Without debate, our morals as a nation have plummeted and our courageous soul to stand for what’s right, has crumbled.  In my mind there is no question, the legislations which canceled God out of the public sector have led to the devolving of morals and ever-increasing willingness to tolerate lawlessness… yes, we as a society, have created our own mess.

Here’s a quote from one of America’s Founding Fathers, John Adams;

“ … we have no government, armed with power, capable of contending with human passions, unbridled by morality and religion.  Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net.  Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

You see, our forefathers knew that if the people didn’t fear and serve God, then no decent law would be sufficient to govern a resulting lawless people.  History says, a society without a God-compass, will gravitate toward lawlessness, and from that culture, some lawless dictator will assert his iron fist.  This doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see… with 20/20 vision we can review the rise and fall of nations.

It’s not too late to stop the tide! It’s still within our power, with God’s help, to halt the degradation of America’s moral courage and thus, save a nation and the heart of her people.  We must muster our soul… we must rally an army of voters to do what is humanly possible to prevent our progeny from living under the dehumanizing of a socialist or communistic tyranny.

This 8 min video was filmed over 51 years ago… notice the relevances to today.  You may say that this is a reckless incitement of people’s emotions.  Well, although some of the things cited herein are a little over the top, it is incredibly sobering, and should be shocking, that some of these things have already happened and are being unashamedly perpetrated on our American culture, even as we speak.  Now, consider the publicly published mindsets of the current atheistic financial backers… and the public figures who endorse their subversive plans.  The picture gets more than clear!  Hello, America!!!!

And that, my friends, highlights ONLY ONE of the above 7 contrasts of ‘world views’.  We must choose wisely!

Politics 2020: My views – day 1

Our country’s next Presidential election on Nov 3, 2020, is less than one week away!

We’re not just talking about voting between two different men… we are voting between two very opposite mindsets, two different world views, two opposite cultures.  For us to debate or get hung up on the personal strengths and weaknesses of these two men, would be to miss the much larger picture.  The regimes and ideologies behind the men are diametrically opposed to each other.  One believes that America is great… and the other believes America is evil.  If you believe America is evil then you’ll feel free to vilify America and thus create a revolutionary path to destroy America.  Under that regime, the America that we’ve known and loved will cease to be!!  This destructive agenda is in full view… full swing… in real-time, right in front of our eyes… NOW!

This 17-minute video lays it out quite well.

In order to destroy America, the agenda is to undermine, erode and delegitimize the courageous soul of traditional Americans.  We must not be distracted by personality issues when a full swing destructive revolutionary coup is in process. Here are just a few issues…

Abortion
Human trafficking
Moral cultural issues
Anarchy and lawlessness
2^nd Amendment
Rise of socialism/communism
Open borders/immigration
Racism/reverse racism
Defunding law enforcement
‘Tolerance’ gone mad
Deterioration of our country’s Godly ‘compass’

I understand that my views will not sway those staunchly holding to an opposing view.  But there are many who are undecided and I intend to do what I can to activate them into meaningful votes.

I realize that our nation’s ultimate ‘salvation’ does not rest in the hands of a man or a woman.  It is God who raises up or demotes (Dan 2:21). But our heart realities (Godly or not) and our actions (or lack of them) set a strong precedent and open ‘doors’ in the natural and the spiritual realms (Prov 14:34).  So, I intend to pray and to vote…and to activate others to do the same.

Politics 2018: My views… for one week (day 7)

Today’s focus: My top two priorities when I vote

1. What is God’s will concerning the party and candidates.  Sometimes we know this through confirmed prophetic voices.

2. Do the party and candidates value all human life?  This is obvious through their rhetoric and voting record. 

You see, any person or society that doesn’t esteem the basic value of life, will be skewed in every other value.  Currently, this is horribly obvious in many cultures and nations around the world.  Societies who don’t have a basic value for every human life, eventually devolve into:

Abortion of any stage of the preborn… even after-birth abortions
Selling human body parts
Oppression, exploitation and subjugation of women
Human trafficking / slavery
Religious jihad martyrdom – including by women and children
Euthanasia of elderly, infirmed, handicapped, undesirable, etc.
Extermination of other religions
Extermination of those with mindsets deemed undesirable
Ethnic cleansings
Etc.

Whether in full-blown expression, experimentation or rhetoric, each of these atrocities has reared its ugly head in America.  To me, each of these terrible cancers in our society is only an evidence of a deeper root issue; we don’t value life.  And if we don’t value life, then another person’s undesirable presence will be all we need to terminate their life… no big deal!

Why should life be respected?  Because Scriptures says… and most people believe, that all life comes from God.

“… since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things…” – Acts 17:25

I understand that we need persons in government who are qualified to govern well in all the areas of society.  But if they are not the person of God’s choosing… and if they don’t value life, then everything else will reflect this vital and crucial error… with devastating evidence in all levels of society.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.” – Prov 29:2

So then, I have to ask myself whether the party and person on the ballot is God’s choice… and whether they value life.  How did your party and candidate align with these basic priorities?

A couple of weeks ago, Debbie and I voted absentee, because we’re going to be out of town tomorrow.  We’ve done our part.  We hope that you’ll feel inspired and honored to fulfill your patriotic privilege tomorrow… “rendering unto Caesar” your vote… and “rendering unto God” a contagious life filled with His presence.

Politics 2018: My views… for one week (day 6)

Today’s focus is: Christianity under siege in our nation.

There has been a strong movement to secularize our society, especially in the last 5 or 6 decades.  Part of that movement is to reinterpret the original intents of the Constitutional signers when they wrote about ‘separation of church and state’.  Honest research clearly reveals that the Framers intended for there to be no inhibiting of the church’s function or even of its influence in government.  Here is a direct quote from the First Amendment of the Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

Paraphrase: Religion in America cannot be codified into law, required by law, or prevented by law or used as a litmus test as to whether one can practice in any level of American life.

It does not mean that religion can not influence government!!!! It means that government cannot influence, govern or restrict religion.  Our Constitutional Framers were mostly God fearing men who wrote strongly about the absolute necessity for men and government to be built and function upon Godly principles in a relationship to God.

Here are some quotes from our early American fathers:

“We have no government armed with power, capable of contending with human passions if it is unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

“Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society.” – George Washington

“[O]nly a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” – Benjamin Franklin

“[T]he Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis, or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government. . . . and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence.” – Noah Webster

And what does the Bible say?

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. – Ps 33:12

And if you forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish. – Deut 8:19

So without ‘religion’ in our society and government, we perish.  With God, we are blessed.  Then, if we have a choice, that choice should be a no brainer.

Our early fathers chose Godly moorings and principles for our country and warned that if we strayed from Godliness our Constitutional Republic would not be able to endure. Sobering!

Okay!!!  So we have elections that give us the opportunity to choose.  With that in mind, who will we choose to rule over us?

Now, let me list some ways that Christianity has been under brazen attack. Consider your political party and candidate: Do they campaign for, support or endorse any of these?

Morality issues

As a citizen of our great American Republic, we have a most amazing privilege and responsibility to vote, not only for our own freedom to serve God, but for the freedom of our future generations.

Politics 2018: My views… for one week (day 5)

I love knowing what God thinks.  It’s so liberating when we know what He thinks and begin to ‘track’ with Him.  It empowers us!  No more ambiguity or doubt.  Actually, we were made to walk, talk and partner with God.  And the cool thing is that he wants to train us to recognize His voice (John 10:27) and partner with Him as a “friend with a friend”.  God’s ways are so much better… and they’re so much more fun!

Today, I’m highlighting Lance Wallnau.  He’s a very respected man who is equally comfortable standing before world government officials or preaching in a church.  His insights are cutting edge and his prophetic words are fresh and bold.  I think you’ll especially like the following!

Relevant Lance Wallnau prophecies:

“Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness.” – Oct 2016

“I was given an image of Trump along with the words “45th president of the United States” and a directive to read Isaiah 45 which begins with “Thus saith the Lord to Cyrus whom I have anointed…” Cyrus was a heathen king whom God used to protect the Jews.  God can raise up secular rulers “to protect His interests.”  Specifically, God used Cyrus in three ways: to deal with terror, to restore economic stability and to honor the Jews’ houses of faith.  God will sometimes raise up non-believers and confer on them “common grace” (not the grace of salvation but grace to protect and assist in carrying out a mission) so they can be used by Him.  Past leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill and FDR are other examples of Cyrus-type leaders.”

Let’s read Isaiah 45… and as we do, let’s replace Cyrus’ name with Trump’s name and see “if the shoe fits” for both men.

1 “This is what the Lord says to his anointed,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of
to subdue nations before him
and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him
so that gates will not be shut:
2 I will go before you
and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
3 I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge me.
5 I am the Lord, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,
6 so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
people may know there is none besides me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other.
7 I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the Lord, do all these things.

Did you notice that nowhere in this passage does God say, “I’m picking Cyrus/Trump because he was a Godly man.”  The actual fact is, Cyrus/Trump is a heathen… he “hadn’t acknowledged” God.  But God needed a man to do a specific job… and He can pick whomever He wants.  God says, “I will summon you by name”…. and God’s intention is to use Cyrus/Trump as a ‘wrecking ball’ to “subdue nations”.  God will give him “treasures and riches” so that Cyrus/Trump would know that God is the Lord.

Does any of this sound like the prophecies that we’ve visited over the last 4 days?  And it even explains some of Trump’s foibles, follies and social failures.

But let’s move on.  To confirm Wallnau’s parallel of Cyrus and Trump, you won’t believe what happened in Israel this year!  At the relocation of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, several Jewish entities created a ‘temple coin’ to commemorate two foreign leaders who lived about 2500 years apart, but who rose to strongly support Israel… yep, you guessed it – it is Cyrus & Trump.

In their 70th year of captivity in Babylon, King Cyrus authorized and funded the Jews’ return to their land to rebuild Jerusalem and their temple.

On the 70th anniversary of Israel becoming a nation, Trump declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

Can anyone say, AMAZING! 

Back in 2016, when Wallnau gave his comparison of Trump and Cyrus, no one could have guessed that two years later, Israel would mint a ‘coin’ emblazoned with both of their heads.  This is startling confirmation of Wallnau’s word, in my opinion!  Although both were highly unlikely picks, Trump, like Cyrus, is being used by God to bless the Jews.

Wallnau has met with Trump on multiple occasions and in a recent podcast, Wallnau conveys Trump’s warning and entreaty to Christians. 

Another time Trump speaks to Christian leaders: “Every other ideological group in the country has a voice.  If you don’t mind me saying so, you guys have gotten soft,” Trump said, according to Wallnau.  “People who identify themselves as ‘Christian’ make up probably the single largest constituency in the country, but there is absolutely no unity, no punch … not in political consensus or any other area I can see.” – Trump 2016

In the last few days, we’ve highlighted four clear prophetic voices that heralded the similar content… and were spoken long before the last election, saying that Trump would become America’s president.  And the words came to pass!  In my mind and heart, that clears up any doubt as to whether Trump is our God-appointed president.  I don’t have to love all of his actions and attributes, but at the very least, I MUST NOT oppose him.  Case in point: Saul had murder in his heart to kill David, but David said, “I will not touch the Lord’s anointed.” (I Sam 26:9; Ps 105:15) (I’m not likening Trump to Saul, I am only highlighting the fear of the Lord that governed David’s responses.)

Disclaimer again: I am not vouching for the future claims of any of these prophetic voices!  It’s up to you to determine what you believe.  For me, I must pray for Trump and release Heaven’s angel guardians around him to escort him into the fulfillment of all that is in God’s heart for his presidency.

Tomorrow we’ll talk about how our serious core life-values affect everything else; personal life, societal norms, business decisions, government policies and politics, etc.  When the foundation is flawed, most of the rest of the house will give evidence of that problem in the foundation.

Politics 2018: My views… for one week (day 4)

Question: Is God political? 

I like a short passage in Joshua 5:13-15 where God lets it be known that He’s not political… He’s here for His own agenda.

“Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in His hand.  Joshua approached Him and asked, “Are You for us or for our enemies?”  “Neither,” He replied.  “I have now come as commander of the Lord’s army.”  Then Joshua fell face down in reverence and asked Him, “What does my Lord have to say to His servant?”  The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.”  And Joshua did so.…”

Notice, when God made His intentions known, Joshua didn’t argue.  Sadly, we haven’t developed the ability to hear His voice very well.  When the person of God’s choosing isn’t nice, tidy and wrapped with a pretty bow, we humans tend to get offended… unless we can see from God’s perspective.  We live mostly from our brain and emotions.  Isa 55:8 seems to say just this, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways”.  His wisdom is superior to ours.  

Someone may ask, “Well then, what about President Obama?  Was he God’s choosing?”  We’d have to say “Yes”, because “all authority is given by God” (Romans 13:1).  We may not know all the reasons why God allowed Obama’s administration, but one thing is for sure, his immoral and anti-Judeo/Christian policies activated lethargic Christians to unprecedented levels of prayer for righteousness in our nation.  Do you suppose God knew we needed some motivation… so He gave our country who we wanted and voted for.  And as a result, praying people rallied like never before.

This principle is not unlike the Biblical history of the kings of Israel and Judah.  When they forgot God and experienced the consequences of their Godlessness, they cried to the Lord.  And then the Lord heard their cry… and always sent a deliverer, etc.

Now, here’s my 3rd prophetic voice declaring God’s intentions.  Remember: God says, “Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.”  (Amos 3:7)   

Relevant Mark Taylor prophecies (from the recent movie, ‘Trump Prophecies’)

“Trump will win the election… and Trump will win a second term.”

“The dollar will become the strongest currency in the world and the news media will come to see that Trump is in the right.”  “The Spirit of God says, “5, that’s right, 5 Supreme Court Justices will be appointed by my new president, my anointed.  I will choose 5 through my anointed to keep those alive.  I will stack the court with those that I choose, to send a clear message to the enemy, that, “You lose!”  This is the miracle that I will perform, so that MY COURT will be reformed.”

Other future predictions by Mark Taylor: “The landmark Supreme Court ruling on abortion in the Roe v Wade case will be overturned… this 2018 midterm election will result in a “red tsunami”, strengthening Republican control of both houses of Congress.  Barack Obama will be charged with treason and Trump will authorize the arrest of “thousands of corrupt officials, many of whom are part of a massive satanic pedophile ring”.  Trump will also force the release of cures for cancer and Alzheimer’s that are currently being withheld by the pharmaceutical industry.”– Mark Taylor – Nov 2012

The Trump Prophecies Book & Movie  This movie played about a month ago in the theaters across our nation.  Beyond the story of how a New York firefighter came to make these staggering prophecies, the movie was primarily a serious call to ernest prayer for our nation.

Disclaimer: Bear in mind that because I’m highlighting these prophetic voices doesn’t mean that I’m completely endorsing them.  They are just humans like you and me.  But our objective should be to determine the parts of the message that are ‘of God’, without idolizing… or getting offended with the human ‘delivery-man’.  This ability is one of the hallmarks of maturity.  

Tomorrow, you may be surprised to read where Scripture seems to speak about a symbolic Trump.  My 4th ‘prophetic voice’ declared this Biblical passage long before the ‘impossible’ 2016 election of Trump… and since then, a most long-shot international event occurred which seems to validate Trump’s presidency in a most unusual way.  You’ll be amazed!

Politics 2018: My views… for one week (day 3)

Question: What qualifies someone to be chosen by God?

In our society, the most popular, ‘politically correct’, the richest, the most skilled or qualified, the most handsome or beautiful… and sometimes the most ‘righteous’, gets the nod.  But not one son or daughter of God got picked because of any of these… or any other ‘good’ quality (Titus 3:5).  In fact, we deserved death… EACH ONE OF US! (Romans 3:23 & 6:23)  But God loves to show love despite our undeservedness.  He just hopes we receive it.  He’s just that good!

To prove that God isn’t looking for our ‘best side’ to determine His choice, consider some of the people He chose: Samson-a womanizer, Zacchaeus-a public thief, Peter-a betrayer, Paul-a serial murderer, David-an adulterer, Rahab-a prostitute… just to name a few.  But look where they ended up… they became significant ‘players’ in affecting God’s purposes in the earth.  With this line-up of ‘losers’, we’d have to say that God’s reason for His choosings, are beyond the obvious, to say the least.

Simply said, God chooses whom He chooses and He promotes who He promotes. (Romans 9:18; Ps 75:6-7).  He can baffle our minds… and do it for reasons that He doesn’t have to explain.  He’s God and we’re not!

You didn’t get tripped up by the ‘package’ that the prophecy came in, did you?  A pink haired happy woman who talks with God didn’t offend you did she?  Okay, good!  Remember, these prophecies were given when Trump’s election was next to ‘impossible’.  And since incredibly impossible parts of the prophecy have come to pass, what would that say about the parts of the predictions that are still in the future?  Very interesting, indeed!

So what is my reason for bringing these prophetic voices into the narrative?  To help us ascertain whether God has chosen this administration.  If God chose this administration, then that knowledge should impact our words, prayers, actions and voting.
