“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” – Heb 1:14

Do angels really minister to those who inherit salvation?  How do they minister?  Can we see angels and participate with them as they minister?  What gifts from Heaven can angels deliver to us?  Can we see the tangible evidence? 

These are all bonafide questions.  Well, I think that each of these questions will be answered in our next story.  We’ve had a great time unpacking this story since it happened a few months ago!

Angel delivers Holy Spirit gift

In a recent meeting, Lindsey looked across the room and saw an angel ministering to a first time visitor named Jamie.  Lindsey went over behind Jamie and did the exact same gestures that she saw the angel doing.  As Lindsey did this, Jamie began gently praying. and something overcame her.  She found herself praying very fast and in syllables she didn’t understand.  Later, on their way home, she told her husband, “I spoke in tongues this morning.”

This experience was very unexpected, because Jamie had not been raised around the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  She had been prayed for to receive the Bapt of HS a couple of years before but had never spoken in tongues.  As she told us the story, it became apparent that she was sovereignly filled with Holy Spirit.  What a deal!!  A few more interesting details: No one was speaking in tongues at that time.  And we hadn’t focused on being filled with the Holy Spirit in that meeting.  When Lindsey and the angel were ministering to Jamie, Jamie noticed that her tongue was felt thicker.  She never thought much about it until after the experience when she realized that God was doing something with her tongue and in her spirit at the same time.  

Since that time, she has experienced several unusual spiritual experiences, which she welcomes and is becoming acclimated to.  When Jamie shared her story with our group in the next meeting she acknowledged that she was raised Jehovah Witness.  Later, someone encouraged her that ‘Jehovah witnessed’ this event.
