Field of Dreams

Playing in our ‘field of dreams’
Dreams get ‘seeded’ into our conscious and subconscious mind.  Many of them have potential and purpose… even righteous purpose.  Of course, many are also just reflective of our unrenewed soul, e.g., fractured, bruised, conflicted, etc.  But for today we’re focusing on the dreams that we’re confident God has given us.  

These dreams are seeds of the intent and plans of God.  These seeds get planted in the soil of our hearts.  Maybe this verse catches a little of this idea. 

“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” – Isa 61:3

These plantings are waiting to be acknowledged, embraced, nurtured and acted upon.  Some of these seeds are waiting for the ‘nutritional’ environment to grow… waiting for us to engage them and bless them.  Today, we’ll act upon these seeds in a spiritual way.  Later, we’ll probably need to act upon these seeds in an external and practical way.  

Dream activation
Our dream journal is our ‘field of dreams’, so now, let’s walk into our dream field.  How?  Open your dream journal and pick a dream that you are confident is from God.  Let’s ‘enter’ that dream and bless it to manifest in fullest form.  But first, let’s ask these questions:

         Is this dream symbolic or literal… internal (in your heart/mind) or external (in your circumstances)?
         Is geography important in this dream?
         Who is with you?  Are you supposed to interact with them? Can they help fulfil this dream?
         What are your emotions saying? What is your spirit saying in the dream?
         What are God’s thoughts about you in this dream?
         Where would this dream ‘take you’?
         What Kingdom impact does this dream?

This dream is the planting of the Lord (Isa 61:3).  Now let the ‘eyes of our heart’ create the environment and ‘soil’ necessary for this seed to prosper.  Can you ‘see’ that environment and soil with your golden imagination?  Try it!  In this process we are partnering with God.  And as we engage with our dream, we’re being a ‘doer of the Word’.  We’re acknowledging and partnering with the implanted seed of God in our heart.

“… humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” – Jms 1:21 NIV

Did you feel desire awaken in you as you thought about this dream?  Good!  Then, bless your heart-desires.  Bless them to grow and overtake you… let them motivate you to engage with the fulfilment of our dream

“Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” – Ps 37:4

“… a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” – Prov 13:12

“… imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” – Heb 6:12

Activation overview

1. Identify a dream that you know is from God
2. Identify the desire that gets awakened with this dream
3. Hold that desire in front of you
4. Focus on that desire and let your heart grow in Godly love for it
5. Begin to see your desire fulfilled
6. Give God and the Heavenly hosts permission to help it manifest
7. Partner with God and prophesy it to be completed
8. Give thanks!

Commit to nurture your desire/dream and make decisions accordingly.
