Song: Arrested By Grace by WorshipMob

10 Jun

Sometimes music leads, sometimes if follows… but prophetic worship music will always accompany and reflect the current emphasis God is making.  The liberating and transforming power in the current message of Grace comes through this ‘now’ song.  Enjoy marinating (about 18 minutes)… you may experience meltdown, but you will experience breakthrough… just as these infectious radicals are.  MLH

ARRESTED BY GRACE – lyrics

(by Garrett & Elaina Chynoweth, w/ Nico Perez)

Stuck in the mire of a standard too high
Best efforts have left me weary and dry
From trying to trusting, the weight is released
The cross I am bearing You carried for me

Caught in the crossfire, confusion and doubt
Entrenched in this trial, too weak to dig out
Redemption came running, with righteous decree
“I finished the work, Child, so fall into Me… fall into Me”
—————-
You call me Worthy, shame flooded by Mercy’s sea
Forever forgiven, a new Life has risen in me
Righteous and Holy, sin always and fully erased
Beloved, Accepted, my fall was arrested by Grace
—————-
From trying to trusting, this weight is released
The cross I am bearing You carried for me
Redemption came running, with righteous decree
“I finished the work, Child, so fall into Me… fall into me”

Adopted by Perfection
You rejected my rejection
Made whole by resurrection…I’m Yours

You did what I wasn’t able
Your child, here at Your table
My heart is truly grateful… I’m Yours

Arrested By Grace (You Call Me Worthy)

Love it! I especially like these lines…
    “Adopted by Perfection
    You rejected my rejection
    Made whole by resurrection…I’m Yours”

As Ray Hughes said at the last GL conference, “Old cycles in the church world are being broken because new songs are being sung.” God is breaking cycles of religious bondage and bringing us into the freedom of His amazing grace!

Yes, bring on the new songs. The songs that herald Heaven’s themes. The songs that tell what Heaven means. Emerging with the new birth. Declaring over all the earth. Let the writers be inspired. Let the anointings be filled with fire. May the sentiments of Heaven echo throughout the rooms of every heart. Hmmmmm. Might be a song in there somewhere…

“May the sentiments of Heaven echo throughout the rooms of every heart. Hmmmmm. Might be a song in there somewhere…” Amen. I think so. 🙂

Wonderful, life-affirming, grace-glorifying song. Thank you!

Thank you Susan. Their lyrics are so scripturally solid and sung so heartfelt that I couldn’t help myself… I got swept up into Heaven with them. Yes, Wonderful!!!

I think the best things are received when we become like children, happy, full of joy, excited about the next thing daddy is bringing home….just simple..no religion..Grace what a gift…

Maybe that’s why Jesus said, “Except you become like little children, you can’t even enter the kingdom of Heaven.” I loved these youth and their raw passion and exuberance later in the song… Infectious!!! I caught the fever and had a ‘moment’ of my own.

Fell upon your post. I was looking for a clarification of a couple words in the song. Playing it as I type. I call it my dance my socks off and stomp on my negative feelings. I love all their songs. They are really gifted.

You are so right! This is a powerful song! It is a song for the ‘age’ that we’re in. A song that liberates and equips us for escaping orphan mentality and entering co-reigning mindset. WorshipMob is a great group and personal friends of mine. Love their hearts and music.
