Quotes: Making Decisions With Our Mind?… Think Again

12 May

ChoicesThe mind is the best thing on the planet to gather and process facts… but is poorly equipped to make decisions, “for from the heart flow all the issues of life.” Prov 4:23 – Bill Johnson

Reason makes decisions based in data… while the heart makes decisions based on Dada. – Harvey Matson

‘Warm fuzzies’ make us feel good when making decisions… but they are powerless to help us when our decision is being tested. – MLH

When we must make decisions, our mind has a major flaw… it can’t know the unknown.  Thus it is very limited in it’s ability to make decisions.  After our minds have gathered the facts, we must learn to make decisions from our heart/spirit man.  Our spirit is always communicating with God’s Spirit and, of course, He knows the unknown.  But in order to make a decision ‘in faith’, my heart must know that I’ve heard God’s voice on the matter.  Read ‘Fleece Template’ for more on my way to hear God’s voice and how to make decisions.

Amen! Everything is a heart issue. The mind can only agree what with the heart already believes.

Thanks for the heads-up regarding the link!! Got it updated.

We’re learning how to live from the heart… versus head, facts or circumstances. After all, we’re proactive kings who live in the heavenlies… not reactive earthlings.
