A New Age Dawns – Aquarius?

25 Oct

No! I am NOT a ‘New Age-er’!  But I AM referring to a new age the likes of which Paul referred to in Ephesians.

(But God)… raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. – Eph 2:5-7

Here, and at least 6 other times in the New Testament, we see that ‘ages’ are indeed Biblical.  And from the above passage, we can deduce that there must be at least 2 more ‘ages’ after the writings of Paul to the Ephesians.

With that in mind… and taking into consideration many revolutionary things currently happening in the body of Christ, I believe that we have crossed the ‘threshold’ into another epoch age.  And although the exact timing of this is VERY subjective, I have publicly spoken that 2012 seemed to be when a significant ‘shift’ occurred in the body of Christ.

Some of the ‘shift’ indicators are radical… but they’re all making our relationship with God so much more poignant and real.  Check my post here for an overview of changes taking place in our beliefs.

Now if you can go with me on a journey of thought, I believe you’ll be intrigued at least… and maybe inspired with fresh faith for where we are in history.  Let’s see if this passage in Luke gives us any insight regarding our entrance into a new epic age. (Note the bold type.)

And He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters. 11 Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 12 Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.”

13 So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.

14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire, I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.– Lk 22:10-16

I’ve wondered why this level of minute detail was recorded in Holy Writ, knowing that every detail is Divinely inspired and “profitable”…

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness – II Tim 3:16

If every little jot and tittle is important then how could reading about the man with the pitcher of water be so important to us today?  (A little warning regarding what you are about to read: Be assured, for Biblical reasons, I do NOT advocate zodiac-inspired horoscope reading… or anything associated with it.  BUT also note the following passages of Scripture clearly tell us that celestial bodies declare what is on God’s mind for mankind.)

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. – Ps 19:1-4

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, – Gen 1:14

Acquarius-Man

It has been heralded by astrologers and by pop music that we are entering the Age of Aquarius (note the ‘5th Dimension’ popular song – Age of Aquarius – 1969).  I understand that this astrological age doesn’t have a specific date that can announce its definitive beginning or end.  But something is most striking about this astrological epoch is the universally accepted graphic that symbolizes the age of Aquarius is a man carrying a pitcher of water.  Considering this, and the strange mention of a man carrying a pitcher in the Gospel of Luke, I’ve wondered if there may be a relationship between the two.  Then recently a good friend discovered information on this website which really surprised me… I’ve included the pertinent text here:

“Some astrologers say the Age of Aquarius actually began in 2012. That’s because they believe the star Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion marked the ancient border between the constellations Leo and Cancer. This star moved to within 30o of the September equinox point in 2012, meaning that Regulus left the sign Leo to enter the sign Virgo in that year.  Presuming equal-sized constellations in antiquity, that places the border of the constellations Pisces and Aquarius at 150o west of Regulus, or at the March equinox point.  By this reckoning, the Age of Aquarius started in 2012.”

Remember, that I’ve been publicly proposing that 2012 was a time of epic shift for the body of Christ.  Now at the very least, this is a long-shot of coincidence… but could this be revolutionary information and very empowering for us?

Could it be that the disciple’s journey into the city about 2000 years ago was not only a useful ‘map’ for their immediate mission, but also a prophetic parallel and portend for the future?  What if it could serve as a road map to help us determine the mind of God for our age… the new Biblical age of the man carrying a pitcher of water?

Let me lay it out more clearly.  Could this Luke 22 passage be saying, “As mankind journeys into the future “a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water” (Aquarius man: significant of the One who is the Giver of the Water of Life), “follow him” (stop your worn out old religious mindsets) and enter a “large furnished upper room” (because of greater revelation of Grace, now fully experience the finished work of the cross that has already ‘raised us’ to an expansive and liberty-filled place in the Heavenlies – Eph 2:6)?  There, prepare for another epic meal (a greater intimate knowing, communion and co-union) with this Wonderful Man Jesus, as a fulfillment of His promise in Lk 22:10-16.”

Of course, eating a meal with Jesus has always been available to God’s people who desire it.  Consider Jesus’ appeal to believers.

‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes (his preoccupation with beggar and sinner mindsets… and believes My declaration of ‘righteous’ over him), I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, (in Kingdom ruling, fashion and order, in exact like manner) as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. – Rev 3:20-21 (parenthesis mine – MLH)

ALL of God could be accessed by any individual throughout history, but as in other epochs where God made special ‘wholesale’ availability on some new aspect regarding His relationship with mankind (Eden, Mosaic Law, New Covenant, Bapt of Holy Spirit and others…), in this new epoch/age, globally, we’re experiencing a ‘wholesale’ grace for Grace… which translates into a revolutionary upgrade in our individual and corporate relationship with Him.

No, I’m not a ‘New Age-er’… but yes, I feel confident that we’re entering a new Biblical age.  Follow the ‘map’ and prepare to eat Jesus’ fulfillment meal with Him.  If the meal 2000 years ago (The Last Supper) was so epic that it became an icon, then how epic will this meal be?

Amen Mark. I loved this when you shared this at the last GL conference in Minnesota. I have felt “shifted” and, yes, a biggest one in 2012!

So, are you saying then that there will…

    “Harmony and understanding
    Sympathy and trust abounding
    No more falsehoods or derisions
    Golden living dreams of visions
    Mystic crystal revelation
And the minds true liberation”? 🙂

So, yes, I agree. God is unveiling HIS new age, if you will. We’re getting upgraded revelation as He’s pouring out His sons and daughters on the earth to bring His light and hope to a darkened world. All of creation has been waiting for us! (Rom.8:19). Blessings brother. Miss you and Debbie. 🙂

      Thanks! You’re so fun.
We’re going to just let the 5th Dimension go ahead and prophesy!!!!
Heard you waxed eloquent this week. Wish I could have been there. Proud of you!!!

Yes, the 5th dimension…going outside of the four dimensions of time and space in heavenly places in Christ Jesus!
        The meeting went surprisingly well.
        Grace happens 🙂

Btw, I see you got a non-naked picture of the Aquarian this time. Probably good to clean things up a bit… 🙂

And that ‘non-naked picture was hard to find. Everybody’s happier now. 🙂

It’s fun when possibilities begin to fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Scripture says, “It’s the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of man to search a matter out.” We already know that significant ‘pieces’ have come together for us in the last few years… making our relationship with God much more poignant and alive. How much more is available???? Fun thoughts!

Awesome!!! Last few weeks-months, husband and I been thinking of the man with the pitcher… Essene? Dead Sea Scrolls calendar? Aquarius? and now this connection…. definitely something awesome! Glory to GOD IN THE HIGHEST! Thanks for the article. Very edifying. And yes, you are not new-agey 🙂 Hubby and I also were very awake in our spirits since 2012… all the signs of the end times were just made open to us. We are watching and praying. Thanks from India.

It’s so fun to find others who are discovering the same thing… and realize that we each found it on our own. In other words, the insights/revelation didn’t come from a common source, Makes one believe that, “God doesn’t do anything without telling his prophets first.” – Amos 3:11 And of course, we’re in the New Covenant where all His people can hear His voice if we’ll train ourselves to hear. Thank you God!

So we’re actually in a new age. And if that’s true, then we’ll likely have to discover new operating systems… new ways of relating to God and man. I feel like it could be more profound of a change than even BC to AD. Get ready for change… even more change. We can’t hold onto anything temporal… or stifling dogmas, or yesterday’s denominations, or empty idealisms or dead traditions. More than ever, we must find our source in a vital relationship and communication with the One who is Masterminding this transition. As long as we know the sound of His voice, we’ll be able to let go of the comfort zones and safety nets… in exchange for walking on the water… because the Master is out there and its way more fun being with Him than being in a smelly fishing boat. 🙂
Blessings to you and yours in India!!

Years ago, I remember going to Israel and hearing the correct interpretation and application of select Scripture passages. I had believed some things very wrong… based on my Western mindset and not knowing the Hebrew mind and culture. But you know, truly I was excited to know that even though I had believed… and preached… it wrong, now I knew it right. There is something so liberating about TRUTH.

We’re being baptized in fresh truth these days. And it makes a heart come alive to be under the influence of truth. Just think of it this way, truth has it’s own empowerment. So let the pruning of the old ‘truth’ continue, we’re headed toward more toward more and better fruit.
